In case you’d like to transfer a domain from one company to another, you will need a special transfer authorization code, which may be called by different names – an EPP authentication code, an Auth-Info code, a domain name password, etc. All these names designate the very same thing – a code that the domain name registrant gets from the present domain registrar and gives to the new one upon ordering. Without a valid code, a transfer process cannot be started and this is one of the protection mechanisms against unwanted transfers used with all generic and with most country-code extensions. For greater safety, the code contains numbers and/or special symbols and is case-sensitive, so in case you wish to transfer one of your domain names, you need to present the new company with the correct code.
EPP Transfer Protection in Cloud Hosting
You can obtain the EPP transfer code for any domain name that you’ve registered through us with just a few clicks from the exact same Hepsia Control Panel that you will use to manage your cloud hosting account. Once you go to the Registered Domains section, you will see all your domains conveniently shown in alphabetical order. If a certain extension supports transfers between registrar companies with an EPP code, you’ll see an EPP button next to the given domain. If you click on that button, the code will be emailed to the email address associated with the Registrant contact for the given domain dame. If you wish, you can edit the contact details, including the email, without having to leave this section of the Control Panel, if the currently entered email is not valid anymore.
EPP Transfer Protection in Semi-dedicated Hosting
You can swiftly get the transfer authorization code for any domain registered under a semi-dedicated server account if you’d like to transfer it. This can be done through the same Control Panel, via which you manage your account, so you won’t have to go through different interfaces. All you have to do is visit the Control Panel’s domain management section and click on the EPP button for the domain that you wish to transfer, as long as its extension supports transfers with a code. Our system emails all codes automatically to the domain owner’s email address listed in the domain’s WHOIS record, so in case the email address that is currently entered is obsolete, you can update it with a couple of clicks without even leaving the domain management section of the Control Panel.
